Catch and shoot within range
Catch in balance, power from the legs, finish long.
Principle
A good shot: caught in balance, powered from the legs, finished long, inside your range, not contested.
Set-up
Pairs at one basket. Passer feeds the receiver at an appropriate distance; receiver catches, creates rhythm and shoots. Agree who rebounds; do not both chase at once. Swap after every attempt. Other pairs practise catch and rhythm without shooting, in the coach’s sight.

| Layer 2Shape your own | Catch on the move with a light closeout. |
How do you coach it?
Short and precise, coach-led, at most about 10 minutes. Then back to play.
Autonomy is not the criterion here.

Easier
Closer and a gentle pass.
Harder
Receive on the move; light close-out without contact.
Question to observe
Is it a good shot: caught in balance, powered from the legs, finished long with open joints, inside range and not contested? Or does it become a throw?
