Chain fakes against a closeout
Cue
Fake, step, finish.
Principle
No fancy moves: fakes and fundamentals, as ball protection, not as show.
Set-up
Attacker on the wing, defender under the basket with the ball.
Rules
The defender passes and closes out. The attacker catches in balance and chains: shot fake → jab → drive, or shoots if the closeout is late. Swap after each attempt.
Where this fits
Period P4 · Individual & forward

| Layer 3Shape others | Use the fake to draw the help defender. |
How do you coach it?
Player-centred: variation, questions and room to find a solution.
Precise correction of form is not the criterion here.

Works on
Fakes as one movement; making the defender commit
Easier
The defender closes out at half speed.
Harder
At most one dribble after the jab.
Question to observe
Does the attacker watch the defender's feet?
