Continuous 3-on-2 → 2-on-1
Safe first, then fast. In 2-on-1: go to the basket.
Principle
In 2-on-1 you take the ball to the basket; the defender decides lay-up or pass.
Set-up
Full court. Three attackers, two defenders at the far basket. Waiting groups of three on the sideline.
Rules
Three attack two. After a score, rebound or turnover, the two defenders attack the player who shot (2-on-1). The other two attackers stay as the new defenders for the next group of three.
Scoring
Score = 2. Score where the ball handler decided on the catch = 3. A contested throw does not count. Defence that delays the 2-on-1 into a pass back = 1.

By layer
| Layer 0Aware | Only 2-on-1 from half court; do you see your partner? |
| Layer 1Control | Decide on the catch; the 2-on-1 rule. |
| Layer 2Shape your own | Wide lanes, fill the corners, drive → finish → kick. |
| Layer 3Shape others | Choose the tempo: when to push, when to set up? |
How do you coach it?
Intensity, emotion and consequence. The coach protects the rules and stops play as little as possible.
Long explanations and technical correction during play do not belong here.

Works on
Recognising and using advantage, the 2-on-1 rule, delaying when outnumbered
Easier
Defenders may not intercept, only stand in the way.
Harder
At most two dribbles per attack.
Question to observe
In 2-on-1, does the ball handler go to the basket, or pass too early?
